Sleep under Madagascar's sky.
Into the national parks no guidebook covers. Off the map, under the stars.
Design my wild campA travel programme born from a simple conviction: Madagascar's most extraordinary places are the ones most people never reach. Deep rainforest. Remote plateaus. Reserves where your presence is measured in footprints, not crowds.
Mianala is not a camping holiday. It is an expedition into Madagascar's living wilderness — with the communities, the guides, and the silence that makes it real.
Open-air camping
From tented camps to sleeping under the canopy with local families — always in nature, never in a resort.
Authentic rhythm
No fixed agenda. Days shaped by terrain, weather, and what the forest offers. Meals cooked by the community who knows it best.
Conservation-led
We select exclusively lesser-known parks — where your presence supports protection rather than eroding it.
Into the parks
nobody visits.
Mass tourism concentrates in the same five parks. We go to the other twelve — lesser-known national parks and private reserves where no other group shares your route, and rangers know your name by the second day. Local ranger-guides bring deep field knowledge to expeditions running anywhere from 3 to 21 days, and lemurs approach camp at dawn while you are — genuinely — alone with Madagascar.

What fills your days
Trekking & Walking
From half-day forest walks to multi-day summit crossings. Routes designed for your fitness level.
Night wildlife walks
Madagascar is most alive after dark. Chameleons, mouse lemurs, tenrecs — spotted by torchlight.
Village stays
Sleep in communities bordering the parks. Share meals prepared over open fire. Wake to the sound of the forest.
Wildlife expeditions
Dedicated wildlife tracking with specialist guides. Time in the field, not on a schedule.

Eat what
the land offers.
Camp meals are cooked by the local community cooks who accompany you, using fresh produce from surrounding villages and traditional Malagasy recipes that vary by region. Eaten around the fire under the canopy, with dietary requirements accommodated on notice. No camp kitchen, no catering company — just the food that belongs to the place.
Parks we take you to
The ones that don't appear in the brochures.
Not tourism.
A return to
something real.
Madagascar's parks are under pressure. The popular sites absorb the damage. We take you exclusively to the lesser-known ones — no mass tourism sites — in small groups of never more than eight, guided by local partnerships on the ground. Surplus from every trip is directed to conservation initiatives via Greeny, so your presence becomes part of the story rather than the pressure.

Your night under
the canopy

Tell us where you want to go and how long you have. We design the rest — route, camp, guides, and community partners.
