A pinch of good news for today? Antananarivo, January 11th, 8:50 AM
Great news for travelers looking to explore the beautiful island of Madagascar in 2024! The Embassy of Madagascar in France has just announced a reduction in the entry visa fees, offering an economic opportunity for foreign travelers.
According to a recent statement posted on the Embassy’s Facebook page, these new fee adjustments will be in effect throughout the year 2024. Travelers seeking a short stay, ranging from 0 to 30 days, will see their visa fees reduced from 20 to 18 euros. For those planning a stay of 31 to 60 days, the visa fee will now be 23 euros, down from the previous 25 euros. As for travelers considering a stay of 61 to 90 days, they will enjoy a 3-euro reduction, with visa fees set at 32 euros instead of the previous 35 euros.
These fee adjustments not only apply to short stays but also to visas that can be transformed into long-stay visas. For the latter, travelers will also save 3 euros, reducing the fee from 35 to 32 euros.
It is worth noting that this reduction in visa fees for Madagascar is not the first of its kind. In February 2023, the Embassy of Madagascar in France had already announced a decrease in visa fees. They also reminded travelers that for stays of fewer than 15 days, visas can be obtained for free at the international airport in Madagascar, with only a 10 euro tax to be paid.
