In-Antananarivo

On arrival at Ivato International Airport, your guide or transfer agent will meet you. After completing formalities, you’ll be taken to your hotel. Once you’re settled and comfortable, your guide will join you to introduce you to your tour and the activities planned during your stay in Madagascar.

Antananarivo-Andasibe

Your guide will pick you up early in the morning. Then we’ll hit the road to discover the rainforest of eastern Madagascar. This trip will offer you extraordinary landscapes, friendly and smiling people, as well as many rare and endemic species. En route, we’ll stop off at Marozevo to visit the Peyreiras private reserve. Famous among wildlife photographers, it’s an ideal introduction to Madagascar’s fauna. Here you can discover numerous aquatic and ornamental plants, and variety of animals such as reptiles, chameleons of all sizes and colors, amphibians, snakes, geckos, iguanas, crocodiles and lemurs.
Then, a short distance from Peyreiras, we continue our visit to the Musée de la Gendarmerie, which tells the story of the Malagasy gendarmerie through the ages.
We’ll arrive in Andasibe in the late evening, where we’ll check into your hotel before setting off for a night walk in Andasibe Park to observe endemic nocturnal species active at night.
Afterwards, you’ll return to your hotel for a rest.

Andasibe

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to begin the tour of the Analamazaotra Special Reserve. This visit will enable you to observe the world’s largest lemurs, the Indri Indri or Babaokoto in Malagasy. The reserve is also home to many species of flora and fauna living in a primary rainforest. While walking the trails, you’ll also have the chance to meet the Betsimisarakas, Bezanoanos and Merina tribes, who still inhabit the area. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the country’s culture.
After lunch in your hotel or a restaurant of your choice, we’ll continue our visit to the Vakona private reserve, located around 6 kilometers from the village of Andasibe. This reserve is home to a crocodile lake, various species of reptiles and amphibians, several endemic plants and, above all, an island of lemurs.

Andasibe- Antananarivo

Before returning to Antananarivo, we continue our visit to the VOIMMA community reserve in Andasibe. VOIMMA means “Dweller who loves and protects the forest” in Malagasy, and is a commitment by the local community to the protection and preservation of their environment. This small reserve is home to many animal and plant species endemic to Madagascar. Groups of Indri Indri and Sifaka Diadème can be seen here, as well as other lemurs such as the Ruffed lemur. For reptile and amphibian enthusiasts, the reserve offers a variety of frogs along its river, as well as chameleons and the not-so-common leaf-tailed satanic gecko. Strange insects such as the famous long-necked giraffe beetle are also present in the forest.

After lunch, we’ll take the road to Antananarivo.

Antananarivo - Out

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel according to your international flight schedule for a pleasant stroll through the city of Antananarivo. You’ll be able to visit local stores and artisan markets, ideal for buying souvenirs of Madagascar, and discover the city. After Lunch, you’ll be taken directly to Ivato international airport, where the team wishes you a safe journey home.
