Located 150 km from Antananarivo and 8 km from Andasibe, the Vakona Forest Lodge is near Mantadia National Park. It’s an ideal base for exploring Andasibe’s nature, offering trails for primate watching, crocodile spotting, and birdwatching. The lodge features 28 bungalows, each with terraces and lounges, making them suitable for families or groups. Surrounded by a lake and a eucalyptus forest, every bungalow is equipped with a private bathroom, mosquito nets, hot showers, and heaters. Additionally, there’s a visitor center with lemur exhibits and a museum showcasing crocodile and zebu displays. The restaurant, built on stilts and glazed over 160° with a central fireplace, offers a charming atmosphere.
