On this trip, the days of sightseeing are organized around a variety of enriching themes, including culture and tradition, the discovery of flora and fauna, local gastronomy and exciting adventures. The itinerary offers a variety of striking landscapes and climates: from the tropical forest of the Montagne d’Ambre National Park to the semi-arid savannah of the Ankarana National Park, accompanied by seaside relaxation.

You’ll start with a visit to the Montagne d’Ambre, for a close-up look at the world’s smallest chameleon, the “Brookesia Minima”. You’ll then relax on the beaches of the Emerald Sea while exploring the Baies des Dunes. An immersion in Malagasy village life awaits you in Betahitra.
Discover the impressive Tsingy Rouge at Ankarana, followed by an in-depth exploration of the Ankarana Reserve. Ankarana National Park reveals its treasures, including the mysterious sacred lake of Antagnavo.

Arrival in Antananarivo

On arrival at Ivato International Airport, you’ll be met by a transfer agent who will transfer you from Ivato International Airport to your hotel.
You’ll check in, and once you’re settled in, your guide will come to meet you and give you a brief overview of your stay in Diego Suarez.

Depending on your arrival at the airport, we’ll meet you and drive you directly to Montagne d’Ambre National Park, where you can see the world’s smallest chameleon, the “Brookesia Minima”, and a variety of lemurs and medicinal plants.

Visit the Emerald Sea and Ramena beach

After breakfast, we start our day with an early-morning drive to the splendid Emerald Sea near Ramena Plage, where you can enjoy its stunning turquoise waters. A delicious seafood lunch awaits you on site. In the afternoon, continue your quest by exploring the Baie des Dunes.

Visit to Betahitra village

During the day, we’ll take part in a visit to the Malagasy village of Betahitra, where the locals will give you an enthusiastic welcome. This traditional and cultural tour will immerse you in the habits and customs of a village rich in history.
Lunch in the village, tasting the typical dishes of this welcoming community.

Diego Suarez - Ankarana

After breakfast, set off on an excursion to “Tsingy Rouge”, an ecotourism site with exceptional canyons and a landscape unrivalled anywhere else on the island. You’ll have lunch on the spot.
Next, your guide will take you to Anivorano, where you may be able to see the sacred lake of Antagnavo, depending on the season. Later in the afternoon, continue on to the Ankarana reserve for some interesting exploration.

Spend a full day exploring the vast 18,000-hectare Ankarana Reserve, home to many species of wildlife that you’ll discover on your hike.

After exploring Ankarana, you’ll return to Diego Suarez, where you’ll have a free afternoon to relax or do some shopping.

Depending on your local flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to the national airport for a domestic flight to Antananarivo. You will then be transferred to your hotel, or enjoy a short visit of Antananarivo.

Antananarivo - Departure

Your driver is at your disposal to take you on a tour of the souvenir stores before transferring you directly to Ivato airport, according to your departure schedule. The team will assist you and hope to see you soon.
