Let’s change up the routine of our favorite destination :
Madagascar is most certainly associated with destinations famous for its magnificent sunsets over the Avenue des Baobabs, the pristine beaches of Nosy Be, or lemur-watching in the iconic Andasibe-Mantadia National Park. This year, however, we invite you to discover another facet of the Grande Île: the Tsingy de Namoroka National Park. Located in the north-west of Madagascar, in the province of Mahajanga, the Boeny region, and the district of Soalala, this park is a true natural wonder.
A playground for exploration enthusiasts :
The Tsingy de Namoroka National Park, like many Malagasy parks, is renowned for its biodiversity and abundant wilderness. Protected since 1966, the park is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers alike, with its unique karst rock formations, mysterious caves, and spectacular canyons. Every corner of the park offers a new opportunity for discovery and exploration, making every visit worthwhile. What also makes it so worthwhile is its unspoiled nature, far removed from mass tourism.
We invite you to adventure :
If you’re ready to get off the beaten track and discover a natural world as beautiful as it is intriguing, the Tsingy de Namoroka National Park is the ideal destination for you this year. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a nature enthusiast looking for new experiences, this park promises unforgettable adventures. Highlights include 220 km² of unspoiled national parkland, 6 ecosystems: tsingy, over 100 km of caves, dry forest, bamboo forest, riparian forest, and wetlands, 10 species of lemur including Van der Decken’s sifaka and aye-aye, 21 species of bat, 2 species of carnivore including the fossa, 10 other mammal species, and over 100 species of bird. A camp will be opened by our local partner Madagascar Classic Collection by August 2024. We look forward to seeing you there!
