Day by day itinerary
You are met at Ivato Airport and privately transferred to your hotel in the city center. Time permitting, a short, guided tour introduces the capital before a pre-trip briefing.
After a morning exploring local craft markets, you are transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Diego Suarez. Upon arrival in the north, a vehicle awaits to take you to your hotel.
Drive south to Montagne d'Ambre National Park, a region of volcanic crater lakes and waterfalls. An afternoon exploration by vehicle reveals the park's diverse viewpoints and forest trails.
A full day is dedicated to further exploration of the park's endemic flora and fauna. Alternatively, enjoy a day at leisure at the lodge, immersed in the surrounding forest.
The journey continues south towards the Ankarana massif. A detour reveals the Red Tsingy, a geological formation of laterite and limestone forming ephemeral spires.
Explore the karst landscape of Ankarana, a network of sharp limestone pinnacles, deep canyons, and forested gorges. The park protects a high concentration of primates, including crowned lemurs.
