Ingredients: 400 g flour, 100 g rice flour, 325–350 ml water, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon baking powder, 150 g sugar, a pinch of salt, 1 kg ripe bananas, oil for frying.

Preparation

  1. Mix the ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, rice flour, baking powder, sugar, salt). Gradually add the water and the egg until you obtain a smooth batter.
  2. Prepare the bananas: Heat the oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat or use a fryer at 170 °C. Cut the bananas into two or three pieces, depending on their size.
  3. Frying: Dip the bananas in the batter and carefully place them into the hot oil. Fry until golden on both sides, then drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
